Identifying the role of national media in facilitating the socialization of the central neighborhood of Tehran metropolis

Abstract :

The current research was conducted with the aim of identifying the role of the national media in facilitating the socialization of the central neighborhood of Tehran. The research was applied in terms of purpose and qualitative in terms of data and based on theme analysis approach. The statistical population consisted of all experts and experts in the field of media and urban management. The sample size was determined by theoretical saturation and snowball sampling, and a total of 17 people were interviewed. The data collection tool was a semi-structured interview and quasi-Delphi. In order to validate the data, the method of pluralism including pluralism in method, pluralism in the researcher and participant pluralism was used. Data analysis was done by thematic analysis method in the form of two categories of main and sub-themes. The obtained results showed that the national media in the form of six main themes: technical (2 sub-themes and 7 primary codes), political (2 sub-themes and 7 primary codes), institutional (2 sub-themes and 10 primary codes), socio-cultural (2 Sub-theme and 7 primary codes), managerial (2 sub-themes and 8 primary codes), and environmental (2 sub-themes and 8 primary codes) play a role in facilitating the sociability of the central neighborhood. The obtained results indicated that the national media, as the most influential media in the country, can and should facilitate the sociability of the neighborhood in a completely professional manner in various fields.
