Developing a Model of Ethical Competencies of the Faculty Members of Physical Education Schools with a Combined Design Approach

Abstract :
AbstractThe purpose of this study was to develop a model of moral competencies of faculty members of physical education schools. The research method was a two-stage exploratory combination of instrument making. Qualitative research method, qualitative case study and potential participants included 17 faculty members of physical education schools. The sampling approach was purposeful and the sampling method was key experts. Data collection continued until theoretical saturation was reached. The research tools of the interview were semi-structured and the content analysis in this section, two comprehensive themes of internal and external moral competence and four themes of organizational factors and environmental factors (internal) and organizational and environmental factors (external) and ninety-eight basic themes about competencies The ethics of the faculty members of the Faculty of Physical Education of Iran was discovered. In the quantitative part, the research method was descriptive-survey and the statistical population studied is all faculty members of the faculties and groups of physical education and sports sciences of the national faculties. According to the latest statistics, there are 38 educational centers with a statistical population of 369, the number of which was calculated based on Cochran's formula of 189 people. The tool used in the quantitative section was a researcher-made scale based on a network of thematic sections. Quantitative analysis was performed by confirmatory factor analysis to determine the validity of the model. The results of the quantitative section using first- and second-order factor analysis showed that the model of moral competence of faculty members of physical education schools has structural validity. Also, environmental and organizational factors (internal and external) have a significant impact on the pattern of moral competence of faculty members of physical education schools. Therefore, due to the necessity of the model of moral competencies of the faculty members of physical education schools in Iran, it is recommended that issues related to environmental and organizational factors (internal and external) be considered by the authorities.
