Abstract :

Abstract Background&Purpose:The purpose of this article was to outline alternative scenarios regarding the future of competence of sports managers with world-class management in the Iranian sports industry and to provide policy proposals in this field. Methodology: To this end, using the Schwartz model in scriptwriting and a combined approach in research methodology (combining quantitative tools such as cross-sectional analysis questionnaire and script wizard software with qualitative tools such as interviews and panel of experts) In general and in the Iranian sports industry in particular, it has been systematically researched during the 15-year research horizon. Results: As a result, the future of competence of sports managers has been explained and described in five scenarios: "transformation oriented", "bureaucratic oriented", "dialectical oriented", "competitive oriented" and "authoritarian oriented". Conclusion: Then, using the research findings and the views of experts, for each of the alternative scenarios, options for formulating policies been proposed . Scenario, Competence,
