Abstract :
Objective: The present study aims to determine the managerial and personality characteristics of modest managers from the perspective of Islam.Research.
Methodology: This qualitative research employs thematic analysis. After reviewing relevant literature and utilizing data from interviews with 12 qualified experts and elites, the data were analyzed in three stages: open, axial, and selective coding. Experts confirmed the face and content validity of the interview questions, and the reliability of the analyses was verified through test-retest reliability (0.90) and inter-coder reliability (0.76). Data were analyzed using the ATLAS.ti 8 software.
Findings: The identified components were categorized into two distinct dimensions: personality traits and managerial characteristics of modest managers. Personality traits included organizing themes such as piety, meritocracy, honesty, self-control, ethics, tolerance, sincerity, justice, courage, and a good track record. Managerial characteristics encompassed themes such as discretion, overlooking minor faults (taghāful), sense of responsibility, simplicity, combating power corruption, and solitude. In the quantitative phase, data obtained from questionnaires were analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) with SPSS 26. The results showed that all factor loadings in the standard model were above 0.3, and all significance coefficients exceeded 1.96. Additionally, fit indices indicated the model's appropriateness, confirming the significance of all factor loadings and path coefficients.
