  The purpose of the current research was to identify and validate the effective strategies on the governance system in veterans' sports. The research method was mixed in terms of data collection, which was qualitative-quantitative. The statistical population in the qualitative part were experts in sports management, sports sociology, coaches and veteran athletes, and sports managers of the Federation of Veterans and Disabled. Field of study and having scientific publications related to the subject, having managerial positions and executive experience in the field of sports management and experts in the field of sports were among the selection indicators of the initial list of experts. The sampling method was used as non-probability sampling, with targeted selection and with maximum diversity or heterogeneity. The sample size in this research was equal to 16 people based on the theoretical saturation index, also in the quantitative part, the directors of the federation and sports boards, the employees of the federation experts and the athletes of the federation were veterans, which were equal to 360 people. The research tool included semi-structured interviews and a structured researcher questionnaire, which was designed according to the codes extracted in the qualitative part. Qualitative part analysis was done with Maxqda software, and quantitative part analysis was done with AMOS structural equation model software. The results related to effective strategies on the governance system in veterans' sports have been shown, which include 4 concepts and 24 final codes that have been identified and approved.
