Comparison between Faculty Members and Students Regarding their Level of Familiarity with ICT and Its Application in Very Large Branches of Islamic Azad Universities, Mazandaran Province

Abstract :
The purpose of the present study was the comparison between faculty members and students regarding their level of familiarity with ICT and its application in very large branches of Islamic Azad Universities, MazandaranProvince. The research method was descriptive and survey type. The research population comprised faculty members and students of very large branches of Islamic Azad Universities, MazandaranProvince including 2150 and 6809 faculty members and students respectively selected based on Krijsi-Morgan Table. The research sample consisted of 384 faculty members and 327 students who were selected by applying Cluster Sampling Method. In order to gather data, two researcher-made questionnaires were administered to the research subjects. The tools were designed according to Likert Scale. The data analysis was done by applying the independent t-test, and U-test of Man-Whitney. In order to classify the level of familiarity with ICT and its application, Friedman Test was also used. According to the obtained results, level of familiarity and application of ICT as well as ICT indicator among faculty members and students are different.
