The Analysis of Factors Affecting Organizational Silence and Its Impact on Employee Commitment of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences

Abstract :
This study analyzed the factors affecting organizational silence and its impact on employees' commitment. The population of the research includes staff at headquarters, located on the campus of the University of Medical Sciences (Protection Department, Vice Chancellor of Education, Vice Chancellor for Student and Research) with a total of 1264 people. According to Morgan table 290 questionnaires were determined and distributed as a sample size and sampling in this study was simple random. A total of 285 questionnaires were returned and accepted that were the basis for research. Cronbach's alpha was used to determine reliability coefficient that its value for the three questionnaires included 1-Questionaire of employee commitment (Allen & Meyer, 1997), 2.Questionnaire of organizational silence (Vakola and Dimitris 2005), and 3. Questionnaire of factors affecting organizational silence (self-made), were 0.88 and 0.90 and 0.85, respectively. In order to data analyze, SPSS20 and Amos 20 software was used. The results showed that social, managerial, organizational and individual factors and their sub-components affect the staff silence at the Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. Behavior and silent atmosphere in the organization had a negative impact on employee commitment and its components.
