The Study of the Degree of Internet Anxiety among M.A. Students in the Process of Information Seaching in Islamic Azad University, Roudehen Branch

Abstract :
The purpose of this research was to survey the degree of internet anxiety among M.A. students of Islamic Azad University, Roudehen Branch. The research sample consisted of 384 students who were selected by relative random classified sampling. From this sample, 300 questionnaires were received and analyzed. The results showed that 80 percent of respondents were lower than the average score (3) which showed the existence of "internet anxiety". On the whole, the results showed the significant difference between the mean of internet anxiety scores among samples which were tested and the mean of internet anxiety score (3). (t=-12.4: p<0.001) and it is found that their anxiety was lower than the average. Also, there was no significant difference between the means of "internet anxiety" of male and female students and there was no significant difference among the means of obtained "internet anxiety" of different groups of students (p>0.05). Finally, it seems that the level of computer literacy and IT knowledge of people are effective in the reduction of their own internet anxiety.
