The Relationship between Leadership Style and Organizational Commitment of Employees in Islamic Azad University, Andimeshk branch

Abstract :
Today, most organizations maintain their competitive position which requires quick changes. Rapid changes requires that organizations to have leaders and staff with adaptability and effective work. This research aims to investigate the relationship between leadership style (the concern for production and the concern for people) and organizational commitment and intends to determine whether the dimensions of organizational leadership have relationship with organizational commitment in Islamic Azad University, Andimeshk branch. The data collection instruments used in this study were of two types, the Style of Blake and Mouton (1964) questionnaire and Allen and Meyer's (1997) Organizational Commitment Questionnaire. Due to the limited population, 80 employees participated in the study. This type of research was descriptive and correlational. The results of the study showed that there is a significant positive correlation between the concern for people and organizational commitment of the staff. There was also a significant positive correlation between concern for production and organizational commitment of the staff.
