Abstract :
The study aimed at determining the relationship between organizational silence and organizational efficiency of education department in Quaemshahr city. The population of the study included the employees of education department in Quaemshahr city. The required data were collected by administering two 31_ item productivity questionnaire and 23_item organizational silence questionnaire of Vakola and Dimitris (2007) to 80 employees of education department in Quaemshahr who were selected by use of randoml sampling. Conceptual model test was performed by the use of Pearson correlation coefficient and SPSS software. The results of this research showed that there is a significant a relationship between organizational silence and its components (defensive silence, indifference silence, pro-social silence and Acquiescent silence) with organizational productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of education department in Quaemshahr city.
