Abstract :

This research was done to study the relationship between spiritual intelligence and empowerment of faculty members of Islamic Azad University, Marvdasht Branch. This research is descriptive and correlational. The population included all faculty members of the university in the academic year of 2010-2011. The research population consisted of 211 teaching staff. The participants were selected in accordance with Morgan Table which appeared to be 136. To collect the research data, The following tools were used: Badie  Spiritual Intelligence (2001), and Short and Rinehart Empowerment (1992) Questionnaires. To analyze the obtained data the descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation) and inferential statistics (Pearson and Multiple Regression) were used. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between spiritual intelligence and empowerment of faculty members. The was also significant relationship between spiritual intelligence dimensions and empowerment. Spiritual intelligence dimensions could anticipate empowerment .
