Abstract :
In this paper, using the computational method and intelligent method of GA genetic algorithm in order to minimize losses and improve the network voltage profile, the optimal location and size of small-scale generators (DG) in the distribution network with radial structure has been determined. We have assumed that generators are capable of generating active and reactive power, and in order to minimize losses and improve the voltage profile, the optimal location and size of the small-scale generator have been determined using the genetic algorithm method for three scenarios in four different modes. The simulation results on the IEEE 33-bus network with radial structure show that the network losses have been significantly reduced.
