The present study has been conducted to examine the effect of Transformational leadership and knowledge management processes on organizational innovation in Kharazmi University. The research methodology was descriptive and correlational. The population included all Kharazmi University staff that reached a total of 847 individuals. Through convenience sampling, 300 of the staff were recruited to make up the sample. In order to collect the data, three questionnaires were used:  transformational leadership by Boss and Aulio (1995), knowledge management by Nonaka and Taguchi (1995), and organizational innovation by Choopani (2011). For data analysis, structural equation modeling, fitness indices and path coefficients were utilized. The results of the analyses demonstrated that 1) transformational leadership had no significant impact on organizational innovation at Kharazmi University (ß= 0.09, t= 0.48); 2) knowledge management processes had direct significant effect on organizational innovation at Kharazmi University (ß= 0.60, t= 3.66); 3) transformational leadership had direct effect on knowledge management (ß= 0.70, t= 4.52); 4) transformational leadership had indirect impact on organizational innovation at Kharazmi University via knowledge management processes (ß= 0.42, t= 2.29); 5) consequently, the suggested conceptual model enjoys appropriate statistical fitness Manuscript profile

This study was carried out with the aim of explaining the role of professionalism and individual citizenship behavior of teachers on the effectiveness of the school in secondary schools of Kermanshah city in the academic year 2015-2016. The method of this research was a description of the type of correlation and the statistical population of this research included all the teachers of second secondary schools in the districts of Kermanshah city. The representative sample consisted of 400 teachers and the desired teachers were selected using cluster sampling. Three questionnaires were used to collect the required data for the research variables: Shannon-Moran teachers' professionalism questionnaire (2006), Schwabsky's personal citizenship behavior questionnaire (2014) and Hoy's school effectiveness questionnaire (2009). Content validity method was used to determine the validity of the questionnaires. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to check the reliability of three questionnaires. The reliability coefficient calculated for the questionnaires of professionalism, individual citizenship behavior and school effectiveness were estimated at 0.85, 0.83 and 0.87 respectively. The results of data analysis show that there is a direct and significant relationship between teachers' professionalism and schools' effectiveness (r=0.383). Also, the correlation between the variable of individual citizenship behavior of teachers and the effectiveness of schools is direct and significant (r=0.434). In the end, it was determined that 23.9 percent of the variance of schools' effectiveness can be explained through the variables of professionalism and individual citizenship behavior of teachers. Abstract    The purpose of the present study was to examine the effect of teachers’ management styles through game-based learning (gamification) on developing students’ skills. The population of the study consisted of all primary school teachers in District 2 of Sari totaling to 400 individuals. Using simple random sampling according to Kjersie and Morgan’s Table, 196 teachers were recruited to form the study sample. Regarding the its goal, the study was applied and in terms of nature and method, it was a descriptive survey research project. In order to collect the data, McCormack’s (1997) standardized questionnaire of teachers’ management styles and Samiee’s (2014) students’ skills, and a researcher-made questionnaire of game-based learning were utilized. The questionnaires enjoyed acceptable level of validity. Additionally, Cronbach’s alpha was used to secure their reliability estimates. The resulting indexes showed that the had sufficient internal consistency. To analyze the data, SPSS was employed and descriptive statistics tests, Kolmogorov-Smirnov and regression tests were conducted. Results indicated that teachers’ management styles affected students’ skills and game-based learning. Gamification influences the development of students’ skills. Also, the findings suggested that teachers’ management styles  affect developing students’ skills by way of game-based learning. Manuscript profile

Abstract The aim of the present study was to compare the causes of academic decline among students of grade 7 and 10 in Neyriz County from teachers’ perspective. The study was of qualitative nature. The population of the study consisted of all teachers of grade 7 and 10 who totaled to 600 people. Out of this number, 13 teachers of grade 7 and 17 teachers of grade 10 were recruited through snowball sampling  to form the study sample. To collect the data in-depth interviews were conducted. Data analysis was accomplished through grounded theory by doing open, axial, and selective coding. Results demonstrated that reason originating from family, instruction and individual themselves caused academic decline. Educational factors in addition to peers and friends provide the ground for the negative outcomes. Treatment styles, too, may bring about decline as an intervening variable entailing other individual and social repercussions. Thus, provision of appropriate amenities and conditions in teaching-learning situations can be considered as a strategy to cope with academic decline. Manuscript profile

The present study seeks to identify the association between self-efficacy and effectiveness of secondary and high school principals. The type of study is applied and its method is descriptive. The population consisted of 483 principals and teachers of Chamestan region. Following Morgan’s Table, a sample of 230 individuals was formed via simple random sampling. For measuring both self-efficacy and effectiveness a researcher-made questionnaire (Shalikar, 1999) with internal consistency of 0.77 using Cronbach’s alpha was employed. To analyze the data, in addition to descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, mode and median, inferential statistics including Pearson correlation was utilized. One of the most important findings of the study was that there is a significant and positive correlation between self-efficacy, self-belief, self-regulation, self-measurement and principals’ effectiveness. However, components of self-leadership had no significant association with effectiveness in either level. Also, self-excitement had no significant correlation with effectiveness in high school.
