Identifying the Effect of Organizational Consensus Components on Reducing Organizational Divisiveness (Case study of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences)

Abstract :
AbstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of organizational consensus components on reducing organizational divisiveness. The method of the present study is quantitative in terms of the data collection and based on the descriptive survey method. The statistical population of the study included all university professors and employees of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences totaling to 2600 people. Using relative stratified sampling method and Cochran's formula, 334 professors and staff of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences were selected. To determine the validity of the questionnaire, the formal and content method and to determine the reliability of the questionnaire, Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS and Amos software programs. The results of data analysis showed that organizational harmony and its components including trust, organizational spirituality and moral intelligence are effective in reducing organizational divisiveness. Finally, using the obtained results, it is suggested that university administrators and officials pay special attention to the components of organizational harmony in order to reduce divisions in their organization.
