Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between mindfulness and critical thinking and academic persistence of secondary school girls in Neyriz city in the academic year of 1402-1401. This research is applied in terms of its purpose and survey-type descriptive-explanatory research in terms of its method. The statistical population is all the female students of the second secondary level of Neyriz city, in this research, 311 people have been collected as a sample using a simple random sampling method. The data collection tools are Bauer, Smith, Hopkins, Kritmeyer, and Toni's five-factor mindfulness questionnaire (2006), Ricketts' critical thinking questionnaire (2003), and Martin and Marsh's (2008) academic persistence questionnaire. The analysis of the information obtained from the questionnaires has been done at two levels of descriptive and inferential statistics (Pearson's correlation coefficient and linear regression). The results of this research indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between mindfulness and critical thinking. There is a positive and significant relationship between the variables of observation, description, and lack of reaction with critical thinking. There is a negative and significant relationship between action with awareness and non-judgment with critical thinking.
