Investigating the role of knowledge management on the innovation capability of employees of the Lorestan Province Water and Wastewater Company

Abstract
The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the role of knowledge management on the innovation capability of employees of the Water and Wastewater Company of Lorestan Province. Accordingly, it is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of nature and method and is of the field branch. The knowledge management approach in this study is based on the Heisig (2000) knowledge management model expressed in the form of four processes of knowledge creation, knowledge storage, knowledge dissemination and knowledge application, and the research hypotheses are consistent with these processes. The statistical population includes all employees of the Water and Wastewater Company of Lorestan Province, 523 people, and the sample size was calculated using the Krejci and Morgan table as 222 people, which was collected using the cluster sampling method and the availability of data.The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical tests, including the s-k test for normalization of data distribution and bivariate regression. The findings from data analysis show that the knowledge creation process does not have a significant effect on the innovation capability of employees of the Lorestan Province Water and Wastewater Company, but other processes, including knowledge storage, knowledge dissemination, and knowledge application, have a significant effect on the innovation capability of employees of the Lorestan Province Water and Wastewater Company.
