The relationship between digital literacy and the perception of career success in preschool teachers: The mediating role of job enthusiasm

Abstract :
The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between digital literacy and the perception of career success among preschool teachers: the mediating role of job enthusiasm. This research is applied in terms of its objective, and the method of data collection is field and descriptive, of a correlational type. The statistical population consisted of all preschool teachers in the city of Baghdad for the academic year 2023-2024, from which 200 individuals were selected using Cochran's formula and the convenience sampling method. The data collection tools were the digital literacy questionnaires by Toohidi Asl and Nik Iqbalzadeh (2015), the career success perception scale (Nabi, 2000), and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale by Schaufeli, Salanova, and Bakker (2004). For data analysis, SPSS version 26 and PLS software were used. The reliability was calculated using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, which yielded values of 0.90 for digital literacy, 0.84 for perceived career success, and 0.81 for career enthusiasm. The research findings indicated that digital literacy affects teachers' perception of career success based on the mediating role of job enthusiasm.
