Active and Practical Approach in Students' Cultural Literacy, Recreating Cultural Perception

Abstract :
This article aims to answer these two basic questions: what is a new approach to the concept of cultural literacy and what techniques can be used to teach cultural literacy to students. The method used is qualitative and analytical-documentary. This research is descriptive in terms of purpose, development-application, and descriptive in nature, and inference based on description and analysis of concepts has been used to answer research questions. The results showed that a new and active approach to the concept of cultural literacy is "the ability to read and understand culture and cultural artifacts." In comparison, this ability is like the ability to read and understand texts. Teaching this skill to students requires the use of methods such as "experience and practice", "immersion in real experiences", "instability training" and "outdoor training", all of which, through reflection and analysis, The extraction of meaning is accompanied by the student himself. Equipping students with cultural literacy with a new approach and careful planning of universities to confront students with cultural issues that await them in the real world, will re-create students' perceptions and increase the capacity for cultural change and reform.
