Abstract :
One of the important issues of family and married life that can affect the future of children is the issue of parents' divorce. In this regard, the main goal of the present study was to analyze the lived experience of secondary school students of mothers' remarriage, emphasizing the education of their children. The present study was applied in terms of purpose and qualitative in terms of implementation method. The study population consisted of second grade male high school students in Ahvaz in the academic year 2020-2021, in which 16 people were purposefully selected based on theoretical saturation method. The research tool was semi-structured interviews. To validate the findings, the coding process was first reviewed by experts (face validity). The researcher also re-examined the coding process. Reliability was also obtained with a coding agreement coefficient performed by two coders. The content analysis method in MAXQDA software version 2020 was used for data analysis. The results showed that five central themes including (emotional support, emotional experiences, economic well-being, interpersonal relationships and acceptance of divorce) were identified for the issue of mothers' remarriage and its various effects on children's education. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the mother's remarriage can have an impact on the child's life. These effects are more visible with negative effects such as the child's emotional problems, academic weakness and reluctance in academic activities.
