Abstract :

After the formation of the Islamic state by the Prophet in Yathrib, Islamic civilization also became a symbolic foundation. Following the spread of Islam in the Arabic, Mesopotamian, Iranian, Roman, Egyptian, North African and, eventually, southern European, Islamic civilization entered a new stage. Therefore, further efforts were made to flourish, develop and transfer Islamic civilization. Before the Muslims arrived in Islamic Spain, they were not in a good position in terms of culture and civilization. With the establishment of the Umayyad rule (138-242 AD), the Umayyad rulers sought to flourish Islamic civilization in this area with deception, tolerance and civilian rationality.What is emphasized in this paper by relying on the historical method is: what factors influenced the flourishing of Islamic civilization in the Islamic state of the Umayyad era? Research findings indicate that the secret of success in the Umayyad period is religious teachings, rational governance, scholarly endeavors and tolerance of rulers that have led to the growt of.Islamic..civilization.
