Abstract :
The rapid advancement of technology has introduced the concept of “smartness” to organizations and communities worldwide. Smart tourism represents the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) with the tourism industry to address the individual needs and preferences of tourists before, during, and after their trips. This integration enhances destination competitiveness by improving resource management, maximizing efficiency, and promoting sustainability through technology-driven innovation. This study aims to evaluate the impact of smart tourism on tourist experiences, using El Goli Park in Tabriz as a case study. The research is applied in purpose and descriptive–analytical in method. Data were analyzed using Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) and the Analytic Network Process (ANP). Findings reveal that access to information, digital facilities, personalized services, and smart infrastructure are key factors influencing smart tourism experiences. The presence of smart infrastructure and online access to information play a pivotal role in enhancing tourists’ experiences. By presenting an operational model, the study provides practical strategies for improving the tourism experience in El Goli Park and similar destinations, demonstrating how smart technologies can significantly enrich visitors’ overall experiences.
