Abstract :
- Identity is something that takes place in the historical context of a community. With the passage of time in a person's sense of self is and behavior, and ultimately guide the community integrates the Behavioral unity in the community, the physical search Behavioral and psychological needs of the individual and society meet. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the physical identity and its role in sustainable development of the community is the study area is located in District 12 of Tehran's neighborhoods Sangelaj This research is a descriptive - analytical study, a survey was conducted and all citizens of the neighborhood population Sangelaj as intended. This community of 115 people, according to Edwards et al randomly selected sample of at least 115 questionnaires were distributed among them. The questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS software. The results show that the physical identity of the citizens in the neighborhood Sangelaj is low the following were determined using Pearson Between physical identity and sustainable development community there is a significant relationship, Means to enhance sustainable development and to reduce its physical identity development becomes unstable. The results obtained showed the lack of physical identity in its neighborhood Sangelaj because unstable Finally Pshnhadhayy to improve the physical identity for approaching sustainable development were presented.
