    Aims of the Journal of Ecophysiology and Phytochemistry of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants:

    1. Publication of new experiences and research achievements of investigators and more interaction between researchers, experts, specialists, entrepreneurs, producers and farmers;
    2. Presentation of research, development, and technology of the medicinal and aromatic plants, from cultivation to post-harvest.

    Scope

    • Phytochemistry and Pharmacognosy;
    • Recognition of the medicinal and aromatic plants including botany, taxonomy and systematic, morphology, physiology, ecology, eco-chemistry, genetics etc. native and exclusive (endemic) medicinal and aromatic plants of Iran;
    • Study of the effects of ecological factors (climatic and edaphic), genetic (chemotype, genotype, species, subspecies, cultivar, landrace and population), management and their interactions on biosynthesis and production of secondary metabolites in the medicinal and aromatic plants;
    • Horticulture and breeding (metabolic agronomy) from cultivation, pest, plant diseases (phytopathogens), and weeds control, irrigation, nutrition and soil fertility, to the process of harvesting of the medicinal and aromatic plants to increase the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites and improve quantitative production and quality of active substances;
    • Production of seedlings, hybrid and high quality seeds, greenhouse production and greenhouse management for production of medicinal and aromatic plants;
    • Techniques of various biotechnology, nanotechnology, and genetic engineering to produce secondary metabolites;
    • Study of post-harvest factors of medicinal and aromatic plants, including transfer, storage, drying, novel methods of extraction
