Identifying the educational challenges of Generation Alpha from the perspective of elementary school teachers

Abstract :
The present study aimed to identify the educational challenges of the Alpha generation, which was applied in terms of purpose and qualitative in terms of data collection method with a data-based method. The research population was elementary school teachers in Karaj city, and the statistical sample was selected using the snowball method until reaching the sufficiency level (15 people). The research tool included a semi-structured interview of the statistical sample, which was coded after conducting interviews and preparation in three stages (open coding, axial coding, and selective coding). The results of the study showed that this Alpha generation faces three main challenges, namely, educational, personality, and social, each of which contains parts of the characteristics and existential dimensions of this generation. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers, the educational system, and parents, by identifying and studying the characteristics and challenges of this generation, help them to use their potential capacities and achieve a high scientific and human status.
