Abstract :
Given that effective managers are always looking for ways to improve the performance of their employees and organizations They develop emotional intelligence components to become effective managers and their favorable impact on the performance of employees and organizations.Regarding to the importance of emotional intelligence and its Role in changing performance, this study searched for the relation between managers emotional intelligence and staff's performance in MazandaranUniversity in medical science. Study procedure is correlative- explanatory in which 80 subject from Managers and 340 subject among staffs , participated in this study measurement instruments were two questionnaires. Emotional intelligence questionnaire provided by Brad berry and Grewz (2005). The performance Questionnaire made by Researcher. Data analysed by Using SPSS software consisted of descriptive statistics, t-statistic one- group test, t difference between two groups, Pearson correlation coefficient and step by step Regression analysis. study findings showed that there is a significant relation between managers emotional intelligence and staffs performance components. In other words,The higher managers emotional intelligence, resulted to better staff's performance.
