Abstract :

This study investigates the relationship between understanding the level of ease and understanding the usefulness of information technology and the happiness and mental health of Islamshahr Azad University employees. The main question of this study is whether it is possible to predict the people’s happiness and mental health based on their understanding of the level of ease and understanding of the usefulness of information technology. In order to answer this research question, a hypothesis is proposed which states that it is possible to predict happiness and mental health of Islamshahr Azad University employees based on their understanding of the level of ease and understanding of the usefulness of information technology. Therefore, all the 320 employees of  Islamshahr Azad University were considered as the potential research population of this study. As the design of this study is descriptive and it has the form of a survey, 120 employees were chosen by systematic random selection and constituted the research population. After choosing the sample, a questionnaire was prepared and administered to the subjects. This questionnaire measured happiness, mental health, understanding of the level of ease of information technology, and understanding of the usefulness of information technology. The data obtained in this way was analyzed by multivariate regression statistical model. Finally, the research findings demonstrated that as the understanding of the level of ease and understanding of the usefulness of information technology increased the happiness and mental health of the above-mentioned employees increased as well. It is worth mentioning that the above findings are significant at α=0.01.
