Abstract :
Abstract This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of training based on commitment and acceptance on social anxiety and social adjustment in male high school students in Kerman. Research design was quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design with random assignment. The population of this study consisted of male students in secondary schools in Kerman second period by school counselors were referred to counseling Education Department; the number of 110 was formed. The sample included 30 high school students in the second cycle randomly through the community and divided to experimental group (15) and control group (15). Both before and after the intervention to social anxiety questionnaire Connor et al. (2003) and California social adjustment scale (1989) responded. Number of training sessions for groups of 8 sessions per week, each session 90 minutes was formed a control group did not receive any training. The results showed training based on commitment and acceptance effects on social anxiety and social adjustment male high school students in Kerman.
