Abstract :

Abstract The aim of the current research is to investigate the relationship between cash holding and company value with regard to the moderating role of management optimism. The method of the present research is practical in terms of its purpose because the results can be used for managerial decisions in the field of company value. Also, in this research, since the goal is the relationship between independent and dependent variables, it is considered one of the correlation studies. The statistical sample includes 169 companies admitted to the Tehran Stock Exchange in the period from 2014 to 2023. For data analysis, regression panel and Eviews10 software were used. The results indicated that there is a positive and significant relationship between cash retention and company value. Also, the results showed that management optimism has an effect on the relationship between cash holding and company value. Keywords: cash holding ، company value، management optimism.
