  • Journal’s Publication Ethics

    Ethical Responsibilities of Authors:

    1. The ultimate responsibility for the content of the article lies with the author(s). Authors must carefully interpret and analyze their viewpoints. The article should include sufficient detail and references to allow other researchers to access the same data set and replicate the study.
    2. The article must be original, resulting from the author’s own studies, experiences, or research. Plagiarism or duplication of others' ideas, even if cited, is not acceptable.
    3. Authors must not submit the article or any part of it simultaneously to another journal or conference.
    4. Authors must avoid unethical practices such as data fabrication, data manipulation, plagiarism, using others to conduct the research while claiming authorship, and republishing previously published content.
    5. Articles must be free of any form of plagiarism, including verbatim copying, paraphrasing, or idea theft without citation. Authors must ensure the accuracy and originality of their work before submission (see Authors’ Guide; all articles are checked via Samim Noor before review).
    6. Authors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect the outcomes or interpretation of the study. Funding sources must also be declared.
    7. If an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their article, they must promptly inform the editor and cooperate in the correction or retraction process.
    8. The corresponding author must register all co-authors in the system during submission and cannot add new authors afterward.
    9. The commitment form must be signed by all authors and submitted along with the article. All authors share responsibility for the accuracy of the content.
    10. Articles must be free from any kind of racial, ethnic, gender, or political bias.
    11. To ensure a blind review process, authors should avoid including any identifying information in the manuscript.

    Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers:

    1. Reviewers must assist the editor in making decisions about article acceptance or rejection and contribute to improving article quality by providing constructive feedback.
    2. Upon receiving the article abstract, the selected reviewer must promptly inform the editor whether they accept or decline the review request.
    3. If the article is outside the reviewer's area of expertise, they should decline the review.
    4. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality throughout the review process and must not share article details at any stage.
    5. Reviews should be objective, impartial, and based on scientific evidence, free from personal, political, ethnic, religious, or gender bias.
    6. Reviewers should identify and evaluate cited sources and notify the editor of any similarity or overlap with other published works.
    7. Reviewers must not use information obtained during the review process for personal benefit and must avoid conflicts of interest related to financial, institutional, or personal connections.
    8. If reviewers become aware of the author's identity, they must not contact them directly without the editor’s permission.
    9. If the article is under review elsewhere or contains plagiarized content, reviewers must inform the editor.
    10. Reviewers must avoid using offensive, harsh, or unprofessional language.
    11. Reviewers must not delegate the review to another person without the editor's permission.

    Ethical Responsibilities of Editors:

    1. The editor is responsible for the final decision regarding article acceptance or rejection, based on peer reviews and considerations of copyright, plagiarism, and academic merit.
    2. Editors should continuously strive to improve the quality of the journal.
    3. Editors must work independently and free from non-academic influence when making editorial decisions.
    4. Judgments must be based solely on the article’s academic merit, without bias related to nationality, gender, religion, ethnicity, or political views.
    5. Editors and editorial board members must keep article information confidential, disclosing it only to reviewers and editorial staff.
    6. Unpublished article content must not be used in personal research by the editor or editorial board. Confidential data or ideas obtained during the review process must be kept private and not used for personal benefit.
    7. Editors should suggest and implement strategies to improve article quality.
    8. Editors must be responsive to the needs of readers and authors.
    9. Editors should promote research ethics among authors and readers.
    10. Editorial decisions must not be influenced by financial considerations.
    11. Editors must respect both reviewers’ recommendations and authors’ justified responses.
    12. Editors must select qualified reviewers based on the article's subject and field of study.
    13. Editors must ensure that the article does not involve copyright infringement or plagiarism.
