Abstract :

The subject of this article is a sociological analysis of the novel "A Song for Wednesdays" based on the theories of George Lukacs, the founder of the sociology of literature. In this novel, Farhad Hassanzadeh narrates the life of a war-torn teenager named Farhan, who accidentally finds his way into the cinema to play the role of a war-torn teenager like himself. The author has placed Farhan at the center of all events and has designed the reader to see all the events of the story through Farhan's eyes, either in connection with or in opposition to him. It is in these interactions and confrontations that the character, knowledge, and insight of each of the characters in the novel are revealed. It is as if he causes them to reflect their behaviors and thoughts in his words. This is what Lukács has pointed out in his theories. The author has measured most of these circumstances with Lukács's experiences of social life and its artistic expression. The data of this research is a library that has been analyzed and described using a qualitative method. The results of this analysis indicate that the society in which we live is full of individual and social contradictions and contradictions, all of which originate from economic, social, cultural inequality and discrimination that deepens the class gap moment by moment.
