Abstract :
This study aims to present an adaptive mindset leadership model in the social Internet of Things, using a qualitative grand theory approach. One of the advantages of choosing the grand theory method is that it specifically emphasizes a deep and detailed understanding of real experiences and existing evidence. Choosing the grand theory method, especially in the analysis of leadership behaviors and management practices, can lead to the creation of concepts and theories that help organizations and leaders find new and innovative solutions to face challenges and opportunities in dynamic and complex environments and effectively adapt to new changes and challenges. The statistical sample consisted of 15 experts, including university professors and IT specialists, who were selected using a purposeful non-random method and the snowball technique. Data analysis in the qualitative section was performed using thematic analysis and Max Quda software. By examining and categorizing the descriptive codes obtained from the interview texts, 55 sub-themes were identified and, according to their semantic similarity and affinity, they were categorized into 9 main themes. As a result, two factors of mindfulness and transformational leadership were identified as causal conditions in the adaptive mindset leadership model in the social Internet of Things. Also, the themes of strategic thinking and environmental scanning were identified as background factors in the adaptive mindset leadership model in the social Internet of Things and digital culture, digital alignment and intra-organizational communications as strategies of the adaptive mindset leadership model in the social Internet of Things and finally, two themes of reducing employee resistance and organizational flexibility were identified as consequences in the adaptive mindset leadership model in the social Internet of Things.
