Abstract :
The purpose of the present research was to investigate the role of cultural functions of the national media on the strengthening of the family institution. The present statistical population includes the families of 2-13 regions of Tehran province, which are assumed to be unlimited. For the purpose of sampling in this research, due to the unlimited size of the statistical population, 384 people were selected as the sample size at the error level of 0.5 with Cochran's formula. In this research, a questionnaire was used in order to collect the data needed to assess and measure the investigated variables. Its validity was confirmed by experts' opinions and reliability by Cronbach's alpha. t-tests and multiple regression were used to check the assumptions. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the promotion of customs, the promotion of social values and norms, the promotion of personal and social communication, and the promotion of insights, opinions and ideologies in the society with the strengthening of the family institution.The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the promotion of customs, the promotion of social values and norms, the promotion of personal and social communication, and the promotion of insights, opinions and ideologies in the society with the strengthening of the family institution.
