This article discusses about researches on logistics efficiency. It deliberates knowledge on researches with logistics efficiency as topics that might be useful for future studies. Literature review is employed as the method. It was used systematically on 32 articles that discussed about logistics efficiency derived from three journal databases. Based on previous researches, they could be grouped into five main topics, which are logistics efficiency on product and measurement; framework, model and approach of logistics efficiency; logistics efficiency and supply chain; logistics efficiency in the perspective of customer and macroeconomics; logistics efficiency and environment. From all reviewed researches, studies on framework, model and the approach of logistics efficiency are considered as the most often topics being discussed and from all discussed researches of all categories, future potential studies are also suggested. In the global supply chain, warehouses play a significant role, yet the construction land for warehouse areas is decreasing. This issue requires the company to discover a method of optimizing the available warehouse area under various policies. This article contains a systematic review of class-based storage articles that becomes essential due to the absence of the latest and comprehensive similar literature. This study aims to analyze various policies for optimizing warehouse functions and provide direction for opportunities for future research in sustainable topics. A systematic review is employed in this study to search for articles from 2004-2023 originating from four journal databases, which are ScienceDirect, Emerald, tnfonline, and Researchgate; to be later organized based on the procedures of systematic literature review (SLR). The research results show various aspects, such as the purpose of conducting the research, the findings in the article, the impact of the results influencing the optimization of warehouse functions, and the gaps in previous studies, which are opportunities for future research to create more complex and comprehensive research results on similar research topics. It is expected that this study could contribute to filling in the theoretical gap by completing the existing literature. Therefore, scientific value can be added by presenting the newest comprehensive literature review. Manuscript profile

A company’s performance plays a vital role in business growth. Many studies on a company’s performance have been established that involve various variables as antecedents. Among others is logistics performance. This research aims to test and analyze the impact of logistics performance on a company’s performance by involving exogenous variables in efficiency, effectiveness, logistics differentiation, and halal certification. The fundamental theory of company performance applied in this research is the resource-based theory, with the resource-based theory key component that adopts a resource-based view. The study involved 125 business units in the halal-certified drink industries located in two provinces in Indonesia. The questionnaire was applied as the data collection method, while Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed as data analysis with parameter estimation referred to as maximum likelihood. The hypothesis test result revealed that logistics efficiency negatively influences logistics performance. On the contrary, effectivity and differentiation, as well as halal certification, positively and significantly influence logistics performance. Similarly, logistics performance substantially impacts a company’s performance. This research shares theoretical contributions in concept development, empirically proven logistics performance models, and the importance of halal certification in enhancing a company’s performance. This research also provides managerial implications for heads of companies or persons in charge of logistics for drink industries in their efforts to improve the company’s performance.
