Investigating the Role of Tourism in the Development of Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas (Case study: Gharib Mahallah Village)

Abstract :
The expansion of the tourism industry is one of the main means of development in each region, especially rural areas. Since tourism mainly involves small businesses, the necessity of the role of tourism entrepreneurs for rural tourism development is obvious; therefore, the encouragement and promotion of entrepreneurship will lead to the development of rural areas. Accordingly, the main objective of this study is to explain the effects of tourism on entrepreneurship development in Gharib -Mahla village of Behshahr city, in which a combination of descriptive-analytical and causal methods has been used to achieve the goals. The statistical population of the study consisted of all household caregivers living in the village of Gharib-Mahallah, of which 150 were selected as statistical sample. The main instrument of the research is a researcher-made questionnaire whose validity has been confirmed by the opinions of the experts of tourism and its reliability has been confirmed by pre-test and calculating the Cronbach's alpha coefficient (0.776). The results of the study showed that the significance of the mean numerical difference between the numerical desirability (which is the mean Likert's value of 3) was significant at all levels in the level of 99% and the difference between all the components considered to be desirable to form This suggests that the development of tourism in the studied village could play an important role in improving the conditions of entrepreneurship among local residents.
