Abstract :
A look at the history of education shows that since the formation of educational institutions, the organization and structure of this institution has undergone a lot of development and transformation, one of these influential institutions in our country has been the home schools. The present study aims to investigate the methods of education in Hormozgan schools have been conducted. This study is a descriptive-analytical research from the point of view of methodology. The findings of this research show that home schools were among the public schools, but they were unorganized, which was responsible for the education of children at the elementary and very low levels in general and the teaching of the Quran in particular, which was the basis of the operation of home schools in principle. The training included reading the Qur'an, Farsi, arithmetic and religious duties, especially prayer. The home school system, despite its impact on increasing the level of literacy and knowledge of the rural community, sometimes, due to the low literacy, the unfamiliarity of the schoolmasters with the principles of education and corporal punishment, caused the child to hate the teacher, the lesson, and the school. This research, which is considered as a review and library research, aims to explain, describe and criticize this educational institution that has made a significant contribution to the development and excellence of education in Iran and Hormozgan.
