Abstract :
Cultures have changed and expanded under the influence of many factors, or even disappeared and destroyed. One of the influencing factors on cultures were land routes. Roads act as a communication bridge between nations and countries. In the Safavid era, due to certain conditions, this issue became very apparent. Therefore, in this research, the cultural and social effects of land roads in the Safavid era will be explained and analyzed. This research is placed in the ranks of historical research, which is done in a descriptive-analytical way, relying on library studies. The findings of the research showed that land routes had a great impact on introducing the culture and civilization of the Safavid era and on the spread of the Iranian language, rituals and culture to other countries. It can be concluded that the roads have helped to introduce the culture and civilization of the Safavid era to European and Eastern countries and also to the development of the Shia religion as one of the most important legitimacy bodies of the Safavid in the countries of the region. It has also contributed to the development of the Persian language in the countries of Central Asia and India.
