Abstract :
The present study was carried out with the aim of identifying the challenges of in-service training of employees of Shahid Madani University and providing corrective solutions using the mixed method.In the qualitative phase of the present study,conventional content analysis was done using an exploratory method,and in the quantitative phase,a descriptive survey method was used.The statistical population of the present study is made up of all the employees of Shahid Madani University of Azerbaijan, totaling 228 people.To analyze the data, we used Clark and Brown coding in the qualitative part and descriptive and inferential statistics in the quantitative part.Based on the results, the challenges in the qualitative part are: neglecting the way classes are held(time and place problems, implementation problems of courses),needs assessment and attitudes towards education(improper needs assessment, attitude towards education), financial problems, the nature of courses(updated Absence of courses, lack of specialization of courses, lack of connection between education and job),inappropriate content, low effectiveness and lack of evaluation(inappropriate content, unfavorable effectiveness and impracticality, lack of employee evaluation and lack of criteria for evaluating courses).based on Friedman's test,the priority of the challenges is as follows:first priority:needs assessment and type of attitude towards education, second priority:nature Courses, third priority: financial challenges, fourth priority:neglecting the way courses are held, fifth priority:low effectiveness, inappropriate content and lack of evaluation.In order to solve the mentioned challenges, solutions such as:change in the way of holding courses, changing attitude towards education, making the courses more effective and changing the content, needs assessment and evaluation were presented.
