Abstract :
The South Pars Special Zone is located in Bushehr Province, on the coast of the Persian Gulf, which has valuable geological and geomorphological and environmental landscapes. The present study was designed with the aim of geotourism capacity evaluation of the South Pars special zone with the Pereira method. According to the Pereira method, geomorphosites of Nayband Bay (12.73), Naiband headland (10.89), Pardis Mount (9.51), Banou area (8.88), Assalouyeh estuary (8.5), Bassatin estuary (8.23), Kangan tidal mud falt (8.09), Bidkhoun waterfall (7.77), Dorzu waterfall (6.92) and Kalat waterfall (6.84) had the highest to the lowest value respectively. Therefore, the Naiband Bay has the highest geotourism value in terms of tourism attraction in this region. This Bay has a high geomorphologic value (5.62) due to its valuable natural scenery including different estuaries, mangrove forests, sandy beaches, plant and animal species, geological and geomorphic forms and it has high management value (7.11) among other geomorphosites of this region due to accessibility to road and visibility, natural and cultural attractions, legal protection and access to service centers. Therefore, in terms of geotourism, attracting tourists to the South Pars special zone requires a comprehensive study to identify the forms and processes of geomorphosites formation, create facilities for removing access restrictions and providing tourism services and protecting geomorphosites and reducing environmental pollution such as Air and water pollution in this rigion.
