Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to predict anxiety, aggression and social competence among preschool children based on parents' maladaptive perfectionism. Eight of preschool centers in Tehran and then 170 children from these centers were randomly selected. Two questionnaires of Ahvaz perfectionism scale and Social Competence and Behavior Evaluation Scale for preschool children were completed. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the data. The results suggest that only maladaptive perfectionism of mothers can predict aggression and anxiety in preschool children, but the fathers' maladaptive perfectionism can't predict these two variables. Also, social competence could not be predicted by parents' perfectionism
