Abstract :
This study investigates the relationships among hardiness, job satisfaction and stress among the staff of Islamic Azad University, Mahabad Branch. The statistical population included all the members of the faculty and the office staff. A sample of 200 was selected randomly. Three data gathering instruments were used: the questionnaire of personal ideas scale, Davis job satisfaction test, and Holms stress questionnaire. Both descriptive statistics and inferential statistics were employed to analyze the results. Results of the study indicated that there is a significant difference between hardiness of the faculty members and office workers. There is also a significant relationship between job satisfaction among the faculty members and office workers. No significant relationship was found in stress. There is a meaningful relationship between staff’s hardiness and job satisfaction. There is a meaningful relationship between employee’s hardiness and job satisfaction. There is a meaningful relationship between staff’s hardiness, job satisfaction and stress. There is not any meaningful relationship between employee’s hardiness, job satisfaction and stress.
