Abstract :

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of training positive thinking skills on Self-esteem and Life Expectancy in adolescents 12 to 17 years old Orphan,s and irresponsible caregiver. Semi-experimental research with pre-test and post-test design with control group. The statistical population of the study consisted of all. The statistical population of the study consisted of all adolescents Orphan,s and irresponsible under the supervision of the Welfare Office of Robat Karim in 2017-2018 in 125 teens Orphan,s and irresponsible. The sample consisted of 26 Orphan,s and irresponsible teenagers who were selected through targeted sampling and were replaced in Two groups 13 were tested and 13 were controls. The research tools included a Coopersmith Self-esteem questionnaire (1967) and a Miller Life Expectancy (1988). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and covariance analysis. The results showed that in the post-test stage, the mean scores of Self-esteem and Life Expectancy in the experimental group were higher than the mean scores of the control group (P <0.05).
