Abstract :
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of dialectical behavior therapy on self-coherence, anger, aggressive behavior, and quality of life of teachers with type 2 diabetes in Isfahan City. Method: The research method was semi-experimental with pre-test and post-test. The statistical population included all teachers with type 2 diabetes in Isfahan City, and using the Purposive sampling method, 30 teachers with type 2 diabetes were selected randomly in two groups (15 people in the experimental group and 15 people in the control group) were included. The data collection tools included Ghorbani et al Self-Consistency Questionnaire (2008), Buss and Perry's Aggression Questionnaire (1992), and the World Health Organization's Quality of Life Questionnaire (1996). To analyze the data, statistical methods of multivariate analysis of covariance were used.
Results: Based on the effect size values, the effect of dialectical behavior therapy on self-coherence, anger, aggressive behavior, and quality of life of teachers with type 2 diabetes is 0.73, 0.27, 0.23, and 0.71, respectively.
Conclusion: The results of this research can be taken into consideration to improve the mental health of type 2 diabetic patients in counseling and education centers
