Examining the concepts of "science" and "scientist" in the works of Ahmad Jam

Abstract :
The concept of science and scholar in the Islamic texts of Persian literature, both in the field of theology and in the field of mysticism , has been very challenging. It has been defined in several perspectives in Persian literature. The view of great writers knowledge of hadith, in mystical meaning and in the thought of people such as Farabi, and Ibn Sina. This research investigates the concept of science and science from Ahmad Jam's point of view and compares it with the definitions of some experts in the mystical and Islamic texts of Persian literature in a descriptive-analytical way and answers these questions: Science What is Sheikh Jam's point of view? Who is the scientist? What are the common points and differences of his view on the concept of science with other experts in the field of theology, hadith and Sufism? Referring to the works of Sheikh Jam,was clarified: in his eyes, science and knowledge are two separate categories.The concept of the word science in many statements of the Sheikh is synonymous with the concept of knowledge.The best science in the eyes of the sheikh is the knowledge of God and the science of the inner self or the science of the secret. Like his predecessors, he includes the science of medicine, astronomy, among the professions , and its benefits are conditional on adhering to moral values.The sheikh looks for the sign of knowledge in the actions of scientists and in some cases considers it synonymous with righteous action
