Investigating the relationship between social capital and marital satisfaction

Abstract :
AbstractSocial capital and marital satisfaction have dialectical and synergistic links with each other. Based on this, the purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between social capital and marital satisfaction. This research is cross-sectional in terms of time, nature in terms of application, and broad in terms of scope. In this study, multi-stage cluster sampling method was used. The statistical population of the study is all married people in Nahavand city. According to the statistical population, the sample size was estimated to be 386 people. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to collect data. The analysis of this study was performed using SPSS software at both descriptive and inferential levels.The results showed that social capital is related to marital satisfaction of couples in Nahavand and as much as social capital is strengthened, marital satisfaction of couples will increase; Also, in examining the components of social capital, the results showed that all dimensions of social capital (cognitive, structural and communication) have a positive and significant relationship with marital satisfaction of couples.
