Abstract :
Background: The goal of accountability as the output and the essence of good governance is how citizens are informed about the choices and policy processes that they are able to judge and respond appropriately to managerial actions. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the status and measurement of the factors affecting the level of accountability Method: The present research is a applied and purposeful type of survey, 28 items have been identified and questioned by experts, Chi-Square=83/0,Asymp. Sig=95 which has been evaluated and rated by t and Friedman tests. The statistical population of this study was 200 public service visitors to the municipality of district 6 in Tehran and sample size based on Morgan table 127 ,A simple random sampling method and a data gathering tool were a questionnaire Results: The status of responsibility of officials and positions, duties and performance of urban managers and citizens' opinion about urban plans and plans are somewhat appropriate for citizens. And the status of informing citizens, the clarity of procedures and responsibilities, Conclusion: The status of accountability in the municipality of district 6 in Tehran according to the respondents, T and Friedman tests are inadequate and inappropriate.
