Challenges and Strategies of Artificial Intelligence in Education

Abstract :
Artificial intelligence is influencing all domains, and education is no exception. AI can play an effective role in improving the quality of education. However, employing this technology within the educational system presents challenges that require appropriate solutions. This article adopts a systematic review method and, by analyzing scholarly articles and credible sources in the fields of AI and education, examines the relevant research findings. The reviewed sources include recent scientific studies, reports from educational organizations, and articles published in specialized journals. The study investigates the challenges and proposed strategies for more effective deployment of AI in education. As an active element in education, AI supports a set of strategies that includes increasing student engagement, personalizing instruction based on learners’ needs, optimizing teaching through data analytics, reducing teachers’ workload, and enabling borderless, global learning. Key challenges include the lack of adequate infrastructure in many schools; student data security and privacy concerns; and the fact that many AI tools require large volumes of information to deliver precise services. Moreover, many teachers lack sufficient familiarity with this technology, and excessive reliance on AI systems can reduce human interactions and adversely affect students’ social skills. To address these challenges, the study recommends strengthening technological infrastructure, training teachers, establishing clear regulations to protect data security, and adopting approaches that preserve human interaction alongside AI. If implemented properly, this technology can transform education, enable more personalized learning, and enhance its effectiveness—yet its success depends on informed and responsible implementation.
