Identifying and Prioritizing Solutions to Solve the Hubris Syndrome among Managers of Sports Organizations in Iran

Abstract :

The present study was designed and implemented with the aim of identifying and prioritizing solutions to eliminate hubris syndrome among managers of Iranian sports organizations. The present study is a descriptive-analytical research that was conducted in the field. The statistical population of the present study includes experts aware of the research topic. Based on snowball selection, 14 people were identified as the research sample. In the present study, the triangulation theory was used to design the conceptual framework of the study. The data collection tool in the present study included a researcher-made questionnaire. The entire process of analyzing research data was carried out using BT Topsys Slower software. The results of the present study showed that 12 solutions were identified as solutions to eliminate hubris syndrome among managers of Iranian sports organizations. According to the results of the TOPSIS method, it was determined that identifying the stakeholders of sports organizations and interacting with them to identify their needs and concerns was determined to be the most important solution to eliminate hubris syndrome among managers of Iranian sports organizations with a coefficient of 0.7684. Therefore, it is suggested that by clarifying the media activities and public relations of sports organizations in order to express the facts existing in the organization and empowering the commissions, committees and groups active in sports organizations, conditions should be provided for controlling hubris syndrome in Iranian sports organizations.
