Abstract :
The scientific movement and insight in the field of law have a long-standing historical background. One of the primary drivers of this has been methodology of low. Methodological pluralism of Low, throughout its extensive history, from dawn of this began in the Sophist’s word with dialectical method and has continued to the present day by experimenting with various methods from formal (deductive), mathematical (geometric), and empirical to rhetorical (persuasive), dialectical and etc. and has yielded fruitful results and lead to the clarification of truth and justice, resolving substantive complexities, and overcoming methodological deadlocks. This article explains the content and the end of one of the methods of knowledge, reasoning and criteria of truth - namely, the geometric method - which gained particular prominence during the era of rationalism (17th century). It aims to explore the implications of this method and its contributions, thereby opening a pathway to the grand discourse on the relationship between law and the philosophy of science.
As conclusion should be explored that law methodology has long been a subject of debate among philosophers of law and lawyers, aiming to uncover the truth and define justice. At certain points in history (particularly in the 17th century and the early 20th century) the scientific legitimacy of law was contingent upon demonstrating a scientific methodology for law comparable to that of mathematics and the empirical sciences. The author believes that this debate remains ongoing, and its open-ended provides law and lawyers with opportunities to utilize diverse methodologies in their pursuit of truth and justice.
