Abstract :
The Art philosophy studies the principles of and basses of art. Islamic philosophers like Sadra has just studied the principles and sources of esthetics. he has not independently studied “knowledge of art”. In opinin of Sadra, the first source of art is to be the successor of God for human. The soul of man is divine. He is the place of divine attributes manifestation. They are the creator and inventor. The attributes are the source of art action in human. The second is imagination faculty being the source of creator of art actions.
Augustine is also considered as the philosopher who independently has deal with the principles of art and the knowledge of art itself. He in the book of “the city of god” has mentioned that the only permission for passing of the city is the obligation to Christion doctrines and faith of absolute beauty and trying to its manifestation in creator of art actions.
He also comprehensively has deal with encomium and denunciation of art sciences such as music, drama arts, architecture and poem and … .
