Abstract :
Today, knowledge is recognized as the source of fundamental changes and knowledge creation plays a fundamental role in the development and transformation of societies and helps improve human resources. Universities and higher education institutions, with the help of their professors and staff, can play an important role in improving knowledge creation, and open innovation is a new approach that deeply challenges the traditional approach to innovation management and is one of the new topics in management sciences. Therefore, the main goal of this research is to design a knowledge creation model with an open innovation approach at Islamic Azad University. The research method of this research is applied in terms of its development objective and mixed method (qualitative-quantitative). The statistical population in the qualitative section (Delphi panel) included all experts and specialists in management sciences, faculty members and expert managers of Islamic Azad Universities with the following characteristics, 26 of whom were selected using a non-probability judgmental sampling method. In the quantitative part, the statistical population included all managers and employees (both faculty and non-faculty) of Islamic Azad Universities in North Khorasan Province (with certain conditions) in October 1402, which constituted the framework of the quantitative part of the statistical population with 594 people. From this population, a sample of 240 people was selected using a two-stage stratified sampling method with proportional allocation.
